This recipe is 100% inspired by my daughter who loves eating Ikura. I wanted to make something that complimented the taste but was also low effort, nutritious, and satisfying for mom and dad. Obvi, the Uni is also for us πŸ˜›

Recipe

Ingredients (3-4 Servings)

1.5 LB. SALMON STEAK
2 TBSP MIRIN
2 TBSP RICE COOKING WINE
SALT
PEPPER
EVOO
4 CUPS COOKED WHITE RICE
β€”Optional Toppings
IKURA
UNI
FURIKAKE
SHISO LEAF
GREEN ONION
TOASTED SESAME SEEDS

Instructions

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Place salmon steak on a foil covered pan and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and oil. Bake for 10 minutes.

Remove salmon from oven and break it up in a pan and add another sprinkle of salt. Add mirin and rice cooking wine and cook on medium high for about 5 minutes while stirring.

Turn off heat and add 4 cups of cooked white rice (I prefer it with Japanese rice) and mix well until combined.

Serve topped with desired ingredients.
