Soybean Sprout Side Dish (Kongnamul Muchim)

My husband grows soybean sprouts often and 99% of the time I make a soup with them, but not today! Here’s a Korean side dish that’s a staple and can be made in less than 10 minutes.

Ingredients

1 BAG (1 LB.) SOYBEAN SPROUTS
1 TBSP SESAME OIL
1 TBSP SOUP SOY SAUCE
1 TSP GARLIC, MINCED
1 TSP SESAME SEEDS
2 GREEN ONIONS, CHOPPED
PINCH OF SALT
PINCH OF PEPPER

Instructions

Remove root ends of sprouts as needed. Rinse and add to a pan with one cup of water. Boil for a few minutes covered until cooked.

Strain and wash with cold water.

Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
