Here’s a quick and easy Vietnamese chicken wing recipe to start your weekend that’s sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Recipe

Ingredients (3-4 Servings)

3 LBS CHICKEN WINGS (WHOLE WINGS)
1/2 CUP FISH SAUCE
1/2 CUP SUGAR
8 CLOVES GARLIC, MINCED
VEGETABLE OIL
1 CUP CORNSTARCH
FRIED GARLIC (PRE-MADE)
CILANTRO, CHOPPED

Instructions

Mix the fish sauce, sugar and garlic together and pour over chicken wings in a bowl. Toss to combine. Marinate covered in the refrigerator for 3 hours, flipping the wings every hour.

Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a large pot to 350 degrees.

Place the cornstarch on a plate and dredge each wing. Drop into the pot to fry. Don’t over crowd and do this in batches as needed. Fry each wing for about 10 minutes. Place on a paper towel to cool.

Pour the remaining marinade from the bowl into a small pot. Cook on high until it thickens and turns into a syrupy sauce.

Plate the wings and drizzle with the sauce, top with fried garlic and cilantro.
